There are many routines out there that can help you improve your daily activities as well as make you smarter day by day. But I want to demonstrate that with these three routines, even the laziest person, like myself, can become the best person I can be. You can begin your journey over a thousand miles away, but don't lose sight of these three routines. Like, never stop doing these routines.

1. Reading

Reading is the first step you need to take to become smarter. Book helps you be more creative, improve your focus, and train you to pay attention to any detail in life. Believe it or not, each one of us walks past at least one opportunity daily. But why can’t we see it? because we overlook it. Try to read different types of books because it can open your eyes to a different world and a different perspective from the book’s author. When you explore different worlds, you train your brain to adapt to different kinds of perspectives, and before you know it, you will start to think outside of the box. You can start with your favorite genre and set an annual reading goal. I had written an article about how to create a reading habit; you can check it out if you do not fancy reading like me.

2. Writing

The second step in our journey is writing. Writing helps you create your own structure, keep your thoughts in order, and record your thoughts so that you won’t forget them afterward. Take out a notebook and write down whatever comes to mind. It could be a useless thought or the best idea you’ve ever had. Make a structure for your writing to keep your brain and mind in check. After you record it in your notebook, you are free to come back and check it anytime, or you can summarize the idea of the book you just finished with your own opinion about the book or what you learn after reading.

The human brain works differently from person to person.

For me, I will naturally forget what I read in just 24 hours, and from time to time I forget the ideas that suddenly pop up in my brain. Writing helps me a lot; not only can I express so much emotion in it, but it also records my memories anytime and anywhere.

3. Exercise

Exercises can be in different forms, so choose what suits you best. Either meditation or working out will train your mind and body to stay calm and strong. If you choose to exercise, there are many options available, such as weightlifting, running, walking, yoga, swimming, and meditating. All of these activities can be beneficial to your physical and mental health in their own way. No matter which activity you choose, it is important to remember to listen to your body. By listening to your body and choosing the activity that feels best for you, you will be able to gain maximum benefit from the workout and gain peace of mind. With the range of exercise activities available, it is possible to find something that is enjoyable and beneficial. And if you are a busy person like me, try to make time for at least 10 to 15 minutes a day of exercise and do it 2–3 days a week, it is better than doing nothing and saying you are too busy for this.

I hope these three routines help you become stronger and smarter.
